Back in those days, I sometimes presented small sculptures to graduating research students. This tiny sculpture was for Zena Tooze, who studied wolves after studying hummingbirds with me and then founded a primate recovery centre in Nigeria which she still heads. Zena is one of the greatest animal lovers I have ever known.
